Located in downtown Stillwater, Minnesota, Chestnut Street Books is an old fashioned brick & mortar bookshop dedicated to providing discerning readers and collectors with good, classic, books in nearly all subject areas, with particular strengths in classic literature, fiction, and children's books, science, art, and history, including medieval, Graeco-Roman, and Americana.
We carry a choice selection of about 10,000 used and rare books, ranging from paperback reading copies to finely bound antiquarian works, priced from fifty cents to several thousands of dollars.
We are always buying good used books, thus our inventory is constantly changing. You can search, browse, and purchase some of our books online at Abebooks.com, however only a small percentage of our stock is currently listed. You may telephone or email the store to inquire about the availability of a book and we will be happy to check the shelves for you. We also accept want lists if you are looking for a particular title.
